Tips
If using frozen shrimp, thaw them first and pat them dry to prevent excess liquid in the sauce.
Cooking time varies by shrimp size and slow cooker model. Start checking after 30 minutes. Shrimp are done when they’re opaque and curled into a loose “C” shape.
For a richer sauce, stir in 2–4 ounces (60–115 g) of cream cheese during the last 10–15 minutes of cooking.
